Arlo’s Journey to a Better Life Arlo’s story is one of heartbreak, resilience, and hope. This 4-year-old Doberman was surrendered to a kill shelter in a state of severe neglect—emaciated, dehydrated, and too weak to stand on New Years Eve, 2024. After being rescued and rushed to an emergency vet by UDR volunteers, Arlo is now receiving the lifesaving care he so desperately needs. But Arlo’s journey is far from over. While his physical wounds will heal with time, he also needs love, patience, and stability to recover fully. As we work to restore his health and spirit, we’re asking for your help to sponsor Arlo’s journey to his forever home. By becoming Arlo’s sponsor, you will play a vital role in covering his ongoing care, including medical treatment, nutritious food to help him regain strength, and resources for his eventual adoption. Sponsorship allows us to give Arlo everything he needs to thrive while ensuring we can continue rescuing dogs like him. The inital vet bills for UDR were over $2000, and he is still not out of the woods yet. Once Arlo has fully healed and regained his strength, he will be available for adoption, ready to start a new chapter as a cherished member of a loving family. Your sponsorship ensures he gets the best possible care in the meantime. Your support also includes updates on Arlo’s progress, so you can witness his transformation from a neglected, starved dog to a happy, healthy companion. Together, we can show Arlo what it means to be valued, loved, and cared for. Will you be part of his journey? Sponsor Arlo today and help him find the life he truly deserves! We are also taking applications for anyone who would like to foster, foster to adopt, or adopt Arlo! Please dont be shy, apply today and lets make sure he lives a happy forever after. All potential adopters must fill out the adoption application. Please read our adoption policies page in its entirety before filling out application-failure to do so may delay the adoption process.
