You Can Be the Difference – Foster a Doberman Today!**

Every dog we save starts with a loving foster home. Without fosters, we cannot help the many Dobermans in need of a second chance. By opening your home, you can make an incredible difference in a dog’s life and help us save more animals in need.

**Why Foster?**
- **Save More Lives**: The more people who foster, the more dogs we can rescue and give a fresh start.
- **Test the Waters**: Fostering allows you to try life with a Doberman before committing to adoption.
- **Cost-Free for You**: We cover all food, veterinary care, and supplies for your foster dog.
- **Make Space for Another**: By fostering, you free up room in shelters for more animals to be rescued.
- **Be a Hero**: Your foster dog will know they’re safe and loved, and you’ll be their hero.
- **Short-Term Commitment**: Fostering is typically just a few weeks to a few months—no long-term commitment required.

**What We Ask From You**
We ask that our foster homes provide love, stability, and affection to the dogs in their care. The more socialized and well-behaved the dog is, the easier it is to find them a forever home. We also appreciate periodic updates and photos, as they help us keep our website listings current and attract potential adopters. Fosters may also be asked to drive their dogs to meet-and-greet events, adoption events, and veterinary appointments.

Please note: any mileage and expenses related to fostering that are not reimbursed by the rescue may be deductible on your federal taxes—be sure to consult with your tax advisor!

Be the difference!

As a father and son walked along the beach after the tide had gone out, they noticed thousands of starfish stranded in the sand, drying out in the sun. The boy stopped, picked one up, and tossed it back into the ocean. A few moments later, he picked up another and threw it back in.

His father, watching the boy’s efforts, said, “There are so many! What difference can you possibly make?”

The boy paused, picked up another starfish, and gently tossed it into the waves. “It made a difference to that one,” he said with a smile.
